NewsChannel 19's Janine Reyes reports:
Four families are struggling through the holidays tonight, dealing with the loss of the teenagers who died on bus 50-37. One of those girls is Tanesha Hill.
Tanesha was 17-years-old. She loved cosmetology class and that's where she was going Monday morning when her bus came crashing off the I-565 on-ramp. Tanesha made it to the hospital, but died in surgery Monday afternoon.
Her family tells us she would have been one of the first in the family to graduate high school. She hoped to become a second grade teacher.
"She was determined to make something out of herself. Nobody could pull her back. She was determined to make something of herself," said Hill's aunt, Doris Davis.
Tanesha's friends and family are holding on to a shoe she was wearing Monday. They've filled it with messages to Tanesha, one of them reads, "I miss you and I love you, rest in peace." Tanesha will be buried in her cap and gown.
