The owner of a Virtual Time Capsule, has total control over who can view each individual file that he uploads and places within the capsule at different stages in his life. Every individual document, photo, audio or video file and every journal entry will be access designated by the owner to be either Public, Private with Passcode, Private until Deceased Code or Secret (Deleted by Deceased Code).

Such access designations may be changed, as well as files added and deleted, by the capsule owner at any time prior to the Deceased Code being entered by a trusted professional, friend or family member.

The owner of the capsule also has the ability to create categories for each file type so as to be able to easily store, organize and view a continuously growing volume of files over time.

The owner can place sensitive files in “My Lock Box” within the capsule where they will remain secret to all, but always available to the owner until such time as they are deleted upon the entry of the
individual Deceased Code.

If you have ordered a capsule for yourself, then through “My Family” you, as the owner, can link yourself and your capsule to other immediate family members who also have Virtual Time Capsules at MyVTC.com.

With “My Friends”, you are similarly able to link yourself and your capsule to friends far and wide who have chosen to have their own capsules at MyVTC.com.

In “My Journal”, you can share or conceal some or all of your private thoughts as each individual journal entry may be access designated by you in the same manner as files.

“My Notifications” gives you the incredible ability to share your final thoughts through pre-planned emails which are automatically sent upon the entry of your individual Deceased Code.  Such emails can contain links to specific files residing within your capsule and also include the Passcode needed to open any Private with Passcode files.  Email addresses and email content may be edited by you, the capsule owner, at any time prior to the entry of your individual Deceased Code. When your time comes, leave no thoughts unspoken!

Your MyVTC Virtual Time Capsule also includes “My Guestbook” so your capsule visitors may leave their own public messages.
